LET'S RIDE THE SANTA SLEIGH

by - December 25, 2014

Hello friends, hope you all are enjoying your holidays!! As today is Christmas am sharing with you all a Christmas sleigh and Christmas tree .

When I saw the theme of many challenges to be Christmas I decided to try out something  I like the song jingle bells in which Santa Claus comes riding on the sleigh to give gifts for everyone. So I made a Santa sleigh with Santa Claus, reindeer and gifts. To make it look more merrier I added two Christmas trees on the sides. Come on lets ride the Sleigh...

The sleigh is made by recycling soap box for the seat and cereal box cutouts for the sides. I used red and green pattern papers and made a white crochet border ( snow effect). To make the sleigh sparkle I used golden lace, glitter foam sheet leaves and pearls. I made the poinsettia flower and highlighted the edges using a 3D gold out-liner.

I have used cotton and red colour paper to make the Santa Claus. I referred to this video tutorial  . For the decoration I have used small strips of glitter white foam sheet.

The deer is hand cut from glitter foam sheet and is joined to the sleigh using floral wire wrapped with green wool.

I have used green foam sheet for making the tree. This Christmas tree is very simple  and it takes hardly 15 mins to make.

The gifts are made by cutting thermocol into a cube shape and wrapping holographic paper. Finally added a bell using  jump ring so that it will jingle all way. Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a Happy new year. Happy Holidays!!!!
